It all started over a century ago with the passion of a single man : Pierre Humeau. From an early age on he showed great interest in shoes and shoe making. In 1869, as he turned 12, his mother, already a widow gathered the little money she had and sent him as an apprentice with the local shoemaker. It was only the beginning of a long lasting passion for shoes. And his mother had made his dream come true. |
BOPY's passion today.
From the original small workshop with a few craftsmen in the West of France, the company has over a century developed a real know-how and has won prestige and recognition.
Still today the company founded in 1905 is considered as a reference on the market in terms of quality and more specifically as the children shoe specialist.
This passion for shoes that started in 1869 in a little 12 year-old boy's head has been passed on from generation to generation.
Not only within the family, but also amongst its 140 employees who share this strong heritage and the constant commitment to fulfilling their dreams; with, in the end the immense satisfaction of making the children who wear BOPY shoes happy, providing them with this feeling of security and comfort, setting them free to dream.
